Overlooking the North Saskatchewan River Valley, the Doukhobor Dugout House National Historic Site offers a quiet and private overnight experience surrounded by prairie, history and open sky.

Staying here is more than simply having a place to sleep. You are staying on a historic property connected to the story of the Doukhobors who arrived in Saskatchewan in 1899 and began building their new lives here.

Guests can enjoy the property at their own pace, whether they are here for a quiet getaway, to connect with the history of the site, or simply to experience the landscape, open skies and peaceful surroundings.

Overnight stays are available throughout July and August, not only on our Saturday tourism days.

We now offer three unique guesthouses, each with its own character and connection to the history of this place.
