Its footprints have created its future. \nOur ancestors’ footprints have lead us together into the 2022 Re-enactment of Indigenous Doukhobor Paths. \nJoin us July 2/2022\, at 11 am and be a part of the ceremony of history. \nThe early Doukhobor settlers\, were without a horse and 12 women were pulling the plow. Indigenous people seeing this\, under threat of arrest\, brought them a horse in the night. \nThis authenticity of humanity is the true strength. \nWe come together in honoring our ancestors through the sharing of our heritage. \nCome home to history. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to present Season of Colours as we explore Saskatchewan history in 2022 with a visit to Doukhobor Dugout House. \nTo comply with Covid-19 precautions\, only self-guided tours will be available and will include visits to: \n\nDoukhobor dugout house\nOspennia Spring\nThe new Doukhobor barn\nBanya\nTolstoy house\nMuseum of artifacts\nGift shop\nDonna’s Doukhobor Prayer Home\, a project undertaken in the past year to renovate the Prayer Home. The project was started by Donna Choppe prior to her passing in January of 2020\, and continues through the generosity of many donors and those who purchased Doukhobor bread in the summer and fall of 2020.\n\n​New this year for your relaxation before or after your self-guided tour is our outdoor patio\, Peter Verigin The Lordly Patio\, overlooking the river valley. Food and beverages will be served. Learn more about Peter Verigin. \nAdmission is $10 per person. Cash-only payment is accepted at the gate. \nWe look forward to seeing you safely on July 2 or one of the following Saturdays in July. Thank you for supporting local heritage. \n\nIf you wish to donate to Donna’s project\, the renovation of the Doukhobor Prayer Home\, please e-transfer or contact us at payments@doukhobordugouthouse.com.
